Chris Kort, CPO, is the President and founder of Prosthetics In Motion, Inc.  Chris is an American Board Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist who has been in the Prosthetic and Othotic industry for over 15 years.  He received his education at Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center and also has a  Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.

During his professional career, Chris has worked with several different companies which have enabled him to experience all facets of the Prosthetic & Orthotic profession.  He was the head Prosthetist/Orthotist for a large P & O company that covered all of Long Island, NYC, Westchester and Buffalo.  He provided educational in-services to many hospitals and rehabilitation facilities. Chris also worked for two world-renowned prosthetics facilities based on Long Island.  He has designed prostheses for patients of all ages and levels of limb loss including:  congenital amputees, Van Ness rotationplasty, hip disarticulation and numerous bilaterals.

Chris has volunteered his time with amputee athletes providing prosthetic support at the Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged, the ASPIRE 10k, the Ocean to Sound Relay, CAF Triathalon, NYC Triathalon and monthly mobility clinics.

In 2001, Chris was certified to fit the C-leg and since that time has fit and programmed several hundred C-legs.  In addition, Chris is also a MyoBock certified practitioner (upper extremity from Otto Bock), the i-LIMB from Touch Bionics and the Bionic platform (The Rheo, Proprio and the Power Knee) from Ossur.

In addition to Chris being American Board Certified, his professional memberships include the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (AAOP), New York State American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (NYSAAOP), the Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) and American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA).
