"I’ve been an above knee amputee for over 40 years and I’ve had the privilege of seeing some of the best prosthetists in the country. Prosthetics In Motion is the best by far. The staff is talented, knowledgeable, thoughtful and fun to visit. They are the only shop that has consistently built sockets that fit and are comfortable practically from the moment I walk out their door with a new one. As an AK amp, fit can be a challenge but Chris Kort and his team get it right every time and I haven’t had a breakdown (other than the very occasional slight sore spot that lasts a day or two at most) in years. I generally walk 3-5 miles a day and wear my limb for about 16 hours daily. They also offer gorgeous cosmetic and fun covers. The location is convenient, within walking distance to Grand Central and the Port Authority and there’s a parking lot next door for drivers. Good hotels and Herald Square are right down the block for out-of-towners. I highly recommend this facility."

My consultation with PIM was a great experience. A team of 3 professionals analyzed my current prosthesis and made recommendations for a new socket. All this attention made me feel special. I have been with PIM since 12/2020 and I am now on my second socket with updated hardware that was specifically chosen for me by my team. My new prosthesis has motivated me to work harder in PT and now I can walk with confidence wherever I go. Alex, my main contact, has always been there for me when I’ve needed him. He advises me on skin care and has shown me ways to adjust my socket to maintain a proper fit. In addition, the PIM facility is very clean and equipped with a ramp, stairs, parallel bars and treadmill so they can observe your walk under all conditions.
